As a well rounded student who is committed to excellence, I wish to have the best possible chance for a bright future.
I have applied myself throughout high school, taking challenging classes that encourage me to think on a higher level and
prepared me for a rigorous college. When searching for a university in which to pursue, my intended major, I was looking
for an institution that would continue to help me think in ways I had not before. It would help me to better prepare
for a life of challenging public service as a lawyer and a politician. I have found such an institution in Washington
University of St. Louis.
My acceptance into Washington University was not only due to my academics and test scores, but also due to my level of
extracurricular activities and my commitment to programs that would further develop my view of the world. I have been
involved in Social Studies Club, assisting in campaigns and fundraisers. I have also been a member of the Spanish Club
for 3 years, which has expanded my exposures to other cultures by learning another language and studying mutliple customs.
I have been the captain of both the varsity golf and softball teams for two years, developing my leadership skills. My involvement
in both my school and community proved to Washington University that I am student committed to developing a promising
future. I have earned a partial scholarship, but it is not enough to ensure my attendance in the fall.
My goal is be a member of the Bears softball team, while further my academics. I am confident my commitment to be
a student-athlete will improve my future by teaching me discipline and time-management skills to enhance my leadership abilities.
Your investment into my education would be an investment into the future of the world.
